– I can make difference, but I can’t make it alone. –

Who Am I?

I have been asked so many times, oh so many times, to put pen to paper and write down my life story. But I must admit, I have always hesitated. How can mere words capture the depths of my memories and the intensity of my emotions? Yet, there is a fire burning within me, a flame urging me to share my tale with the world. And if, one day, I summon the courage to do so, I can promise you that you will embark on a journey like no other.
Each page will be a delightful surprise, introducing you to a myriad of characters I have encountered on my extraordinary voyage. Born and raised in a modest town, within the embrace of a religious and traditional family in South America. My parents, the epitome of strength and resilience, had their lives forever altered by a tragic accident. Both became disabled in their prime, leaving behind the weight of unbearable loss – the loss of their two beloved sons. And so, I became an only child, burdened with responsibilities far beyond my tender years.

But I am a firm believer that people cross our paths for a reason. Every encounter, every connection, has a purpose. And so, my journey began. I found myself laboring in a relative’s shoe store, assisting my mother in her small home business, toiling alongside my father on the farm. It was through these humble beginnings that my eyes were opened, beckoning me to leave the safety of the nest and pursue my dreams.
Driven by curiosity and unyielding fearlessness, I sought out every challenge that came my way. And in doing so, I discovered the opportunity to work in every facet of a business – sales, operations, human resources, administration, finance, importation and exportation, accounting, and more. Each experience offered a glimpse into the intricate workings of an organization, but above all, it nurtured a deep appreciation for its most precious asset – its people.

Challenges brought forth the chance to interact with both bosses and leaders. From the former, I learned valuable lessons of what not to be. But it was the latter, the exceptional leaders, who imprinted themselves upon my mind and heart. Their wisdom and guidance were gifts I carried with me as I navigated the twists and turns of life’s uncertain path.
Surviving cancer twice has bestowed upon me a renewed appreciation for the preciousness of life. In the moments of respite, I find solace in exploring new horizons, meeting kindred spirits, cherishing time with family and friends, and sharing hearty laughter. Road trips have become a cherished escape, where the echoes of the countryside still resonate within my soul. Nature, in all its grandeur, commands my utmost respect and adoration. And of all its wonders, it is the loyal companionship of dogs and the graceful majesty of horses that hold a special place in my heart.

Knowledge and experience, my dear friends, are the treasures that none can ever wrest from our grasp. They are the currency of a fulfilled life. So, let us continue to embrace the unending journey of learning and experiencing all that this world has to offer.
With unwavering passion,

Mônia Robles
